Little Stove

I've heard very good things about this little cafe for a while and finally got around to checking it out last week.

Little Stove
Shop 93 / 107 Harris Street
BICTON
Open 7 days for breakfast and lunch.

Very quaint, very sweet interior. The staff were cheery and the place has a really comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. We drove past and it was absolutely chockas (on a Friday morning!) but by the time we returned from our walk it had cleared out a little and we were able to get a table.

There is a few points of difference to this place. Text your coffee order? Cool! Some delicious sounding drinks of the HUGE chalkboard. Will definitely try one next time but sadly, I didn't see them before putting my order in.

Surprise, surprise I ordered the Trifle and it was delightfully presented - though this 'serve it in a glass' idea which seems to be very popular makes it a little hard to eat but I happily persevered!

My friend got the Fruit Salad which was also beautifully presented and we were both impressed with how good the yoghurt tasted. Yum! Must find out what it is next time - there will definitely be a next time!

  2. hubby and i have been there a lot in the lat year or so and although the prices are way up there (do they care it's always packed out) the food is always lovely and nicely presented. I do wish we didnt have to negotiate our way around 4 dogs on teh morning of anzac day though!

  3. great food but lately some of the staff dont seem to get along and the quaint friendly atmosphere has on a couple of visits been spoiled by 'sniping' between a couple of staff behind the counter. Not very professional!
